Galle Fort

Galle Fort, in Galle on Sri Lanka’s southern coast, is a historic walled city and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Originally constructed by the Portuguese in 1588 and extensively fortified by the Dutch in the 17th century, it stands as one of Asia’s best-preserved examples of European colonial fortification in a tropical setting. Today, it remains a living town blending European architecture with Sri Lankan culture.

Relax in Mirissa

Mirissa is a small coastal city on the south coast of Sri Lanka’s Southern Province, known for its crescent-shaped beach, whale-watching, and relaxed surf-town atmosphere. It sits between Galle and Matara along the main coastal road and railway. Mirissa lies in a small bay with a long sandy beach backed by coconut palms. Offshore rocks and a small islet called Parrot Rock create a sheltered swimming area on one side and stronger waves suitable for surfing on the other. The surrounding area features lush palm groves, small hills, and access to jungle trails leading to secluded coves such as Jungle Beach.
